Session Title - The Threats to the Depths of Information Security

Non-Coding Technical Track - Data Privacy / Security

3:40PM -4:40PM at the 4th Floor, Bonifacio Hall C

Information security metrics have become an important channel for communicating the status of our cyber-risk posture. Whether you are part of development, testing, or management team, you come from a different industry beyond IT, or you are a user of a commercial or an online application, all of us have the responsibility to identify and manage both our business and personal data.

This session will give you insights about the good, the bad, and the not so beautiful paradigms of protecting your personal information online and how organizations can further assure the integrity of their brand and services.

We will also discuss how countermeasures taken through General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Data Privacy Act of the Philippines, and ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) can help individuals and organizations know their rights, protect their information, and promote a safer community.
